Yuanxi Welded Wire Gabions are made of welded wire fabrics. This kind of wire mesh containers are uniformly welded and can be supplied of various sizes. 

Yuanxi Welded Gabions filled on site with hard, durable stone to form mass gravity retaining structures. Due to their inflexibility, welded gabions are generally not considered suitable in areas susceptible to differential settlement, or in water courses. 
 

The steel wire for making of welded mesh gabions is cold drawn high tensile steel zinc coated.
 

Advantages:

Gabions made of welded wire fabrics offer strong strength compared with woven wire gabions while they have similar flexibility.

Welded mesh gabions are faster to erect and do not need tensioning. This allows them to keep their shape, to be free from bulges and depressions and fit easily against the wall.

Specification:

Weld mesh gabion are manufactured from cold drawn steel wire and strictly conform to BS1052:1986 for tensile strength. It is then electrically welded together and Hot Dip Galvanised or Alu-Zinc coated to BS443/EN10244-2, ensuring a longer life. The meshes can then be organic polymer coated to safeguard against corrosion and other weathering effects, especially when the gabions are to be used in salty and highly polluted environments. Our Alu-Zinc* mesh is coated using the Galfan process.
 

Lacing wire shall be provided separately for site assembly. Lacing Spirals (see photos
below), Alu-Zinc and stainless steel C rings are also available at extra cost if required.

Welded mesh gabions are also available in Cylindrical and Sac form with diameters of
0.65m, 0.95m and in lengths of 2.0m and 3.0m.
 

All our Organic Polymer powder coated Welded mesh gabions are designed to be equivalent to the requirements of the DETR, HA MCHW, Volume 1 Specification of Highway Works, Clause 626.
